Who is Dr. Shoshana Bennett, Ph.D.? Dr. Bennett is a licensed psychologist who founded Postpartum Assistance for Mothers in 1987 after her second undiagnosed postpartum illness. Dr. Shoshana is the Immediate Past President of Postpartum Support International and a past president of California’s state organization Postpartum Health Alliance. She is a noted guest lecturer, and her work has been the subject of numerous newspaper articles around the country.
Early Career: For fifteen years prior to her current profession, Dr. Shoshana was a college instructor in the fields of Special Education, Early Childhood Development, Rehabilitation Therapies and Psychology. In addition to three teaching credentials, she holds her second masters degree in Psychology and a doctorate in Clinical Counseling.

Speaking Engagements: Dr. Shoshana is a noted guest lecturer, and her work has been the subject of numerous newspaper articles around the country including San Francisco Chronicle, Self, Chicago Tribune, Glamour and Psychology Today. Dr. Shoshana has been a featured guest on national radio and television shows, including ABC’s “20/20”. Dr. Shoshana travels extensively throughout the country presenting keynote addresses at conferences, training medical and mental health practitioners, and leading workshops for all those helping pregnant and postpartum women.
